AI Policy

I do not use generative AI to create anything for my art, business, or website. I utilize Wix to run my website, and they are strongly pushing gen AI on everything. I am avoiding it as best as possible.

I cannot stop the AI bots from scraping and training off of my website. Wix has a handy counter to tell me how many times my website has been crawled, as if that’s something that should make me happy and feel good! If my website seems bare bones and somewhat sparse, it’s because I want to give up as little of myself and my art as I can for these programs. I will typically only share the covers of my zines, just so you get a preview, but I am frustrated that even that little bit can be used without my consent for generative AI training. This is part of why I publish zines now. I want to share my art with others by putting it in their hands, not passing it through the gaze of big tech creeps.

Once the zines are printed and out in the world, I don’t have much control over how others share them, but if you’re reading this, consider physically sharing the zines with your friends rather than posting photos of the interior content.
